<insert interesting title here>

I should blog again.

I have not much to blog about, though.

I must agree with part of a friends recent blog post, wherein she stated that, "I have plenty of lovely people to talk to, so there's really no point blogging about stuff already discussed."

I finished NaNoWriMo. I won it. It makes me feel highly accomplished, and so glad I actually wrote a book. Now I get to finish it, and edit it.

November, for those of you not in the know, if NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month. This is my third year in participation, and I have high hopes.

Of course, I always have high hopes. See, the point of NaNo is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. That's just over 1667 words a day, approximately. It's a lot. Especially when the oh-so-wonderful story idea you've been planning since April peters out on the very first day and you have to start from scratch. Talk about depressing. Tongue

Oregonian adventure.

Tue, 10/26/2010 - 05:10 — Carrie

Well, I went on another adventure. It was thrilling, and intriguing, and various other wonderful words. Perhaps I should not be yet writing up the narrative, since I'm still not quite home. I think I might be by the time I get around to finishing this blog, but who knows. Never the less, I shall try to make the following account as true and accurate as I can, to the best of my knowledge.

Silent Communication in a Loud World

Sat, 10/02/2010 - 17:04 — Carrie

Communication is important. Vital, in fact, for a person hoping to live amongst other people. For the average person, all that’s needed is to simply open your mouth and talk. Others respond in a similar manner. Have you ever wondered, however, what it would be like if you were Deaf, and incapable of communicating in this seemingly simple manner? That was my assignment.

For those of you not in the know, OSR stands for Ohio Summer Rendezvous  (Not to be confused with the Ohio Winter Rendezvous). It's a fancy name for an amazing weekend. I went with my dad. Laughing out loud

Unexpected Adventure

Fri, 09/03/2010 - 21:40 — Carrie

I went for a walk today. It was raining a bit, but since I had left the windows open in my car, and thus got wet driving home, I figured I might as well get more wet.

I need a change

Sun, 08/15/2010 - 20:34 — Carrie

I have this ache for change. When things stay the same for too long, I get restless. I want to go out and do something completely unlike anything I've done before.

Old Sturbridge Village

Fri, 08/13/2010 - 20:50 — Carrie

I took my kids to Old Sturbridge Village today. It's a village similar to Colonial Williamsburg, but on a smaller scale. From this experience, I gleaned two insights.
1. The kids I nanny for are extremely well behaved in public.
2. I am far too scatterbrained to take field trips of this kind too often.

I shall now expound.

It has been brought to my attention...

Wed, 08/04/2010 - 06:54 — Carrie

that I have not updated this blog in awhile. Therefore, I am now updating.

I was going to say something intelligent, but everything I wrote came out sounding dumb. Nothing much I really want to say, I suppose.

I need more joy.

What do you do...

When you don't know what to do? What do you decide when you don't know what to decide? What if truth is pulling you in two different directions and you don't know which is more true? How can you make a decision that will hurt someone you love?
Can I just ignore it all? Can I never make a decision? Please?
