Ping Pong

I went over to my friend, Jennie's house recently. I hadn't seen her in a few weeks, and hence, had many things to catch up with her on. In the course of our conversations, we got talking about relationships between guys and girls, and how sometimes guys have no idea how much they are hurting a girl by how they treat her. Example: A guy wants a girlfriend, so he becomes really, really close friends with several girls. None of the girls know how close this guys friendship is with other girls, they think it's only them. In the end, the guy picks the girl he likes best, leaving all the other girls very hurt. Both of us had more than one example of guys we knew who had done/were doing this. Sometime near the end of our conversation, Jennie's sister Gloria, who is about 6 years old, comes running in the room. We had no idea she had been listening, but apparently she had, for she spouted off this piece of wisdom (that, as far as we know, she came up with completely on her own)
"Girls are not ping-pong balls and guys are not ping-pong paddles!"
Then, with a huge grin at the knowledge of her own cleverness, she tripped back into the living room. Out of the mouths of babes. Tongue

Two Way Street

That goes both ways. Neat analogy.

It certainly can go both ways. I rarely notice it the other way, though. Perhaps cause I'm a girl, and notice it more in guys.

What is funny is the idea of finding your "soul mate" while this is being discussed. Tongue
