I have always had trouble with priorities. When I was young, I would have anywhere from 2-10 projects going on simultaneously, because I would get distracted from what I should be doing.
But I digress. Lately, some thought about priorities have been running through my mind. Where are my priorities? Where should they be?

1 Corinthians 15:1-3
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

In verse 3, it says "I delivered unto you first of all". In various other translations, that phrase is translated "first importance"
So what was this, that was first importance from Paul? The gospel. The good news of Jesus Christ. This is what should be the very focus of a Christians life. So...... is it?
I know for me, it's a struggle to really make it so. A struggle to put Christ first in my mind and life, every day.

Life is a funny thing. Just when we think we have our priorities in order, something comes up and convicts us that we're focusing on the wrong things. I guess it could all tie back to my earlier post about trusting God. I don't think I'll ever have it completely figured out. But, if I did.... why would I so desperately need God? It's a daily battle to get my priorities right, but it's oh so worth it Smile

It is worth it.

Sometimes I wonder why we aren't built more like computers where certain times are dedicated to certain things... then I realize that there are days when we need to be flexible. We just can not forget why we are here.
